More about Jacqueline:"I was born to two aviators: my mom, Caroline Van Cise (nee, Pandolfi), for whom flying was an avocation; and my dad, Bob Van Cise, a corporate and commercial pilot and instructor, for whom flying was his life-long career. He had been a barnstormer in his late teens, joined the Army Air Corps, was a Hump pilot -- China/Burma/India -- and continued as a flight instructor and flying privately and commercially until his retirement. When my mom met my dad, she gave up her avocation to tend to her family, which included my dad and my sister, Jill. Jill and I also have an older sister, Carolyn Van Cise, by my dad's first marriage; Carolyn was a professional ballerina most of her life and has lived in Woodside, California for many years. ful part of our lives since forever and now has beautiful children and grandchildren of her own. Jill lives in California as well.
My long childhood days were spent with friends roaming the magical hills and dales of Windover Hills, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Following childhood, and by my senior year in high school, my family had lived in several different States and overseas, including Florida, California, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Germany, Tennessee, Texas, Michigan, Holland, Laos -- my father searching for that ever-elusive perfect flight. Somehow all these years later, following my own schooling, career, marriage, and family-raising, mysteriously I still find myself in Michigan. My husband, David Kushner, a private pilot (who probably married me for my parents!), has experienced some challenging health issues these past few years. Our son, Jeremy Christopher Kushner, who graduated from Greenhills School in Ann Arbor, was awarded an Earhart Foundation fellowship to pursue his PhD in political theory at the University of Texas âÃÂàAustin and is now in his second year there; grad school for him is a natural follow-up to his undergraduate degree from Kenyon, where he graduated summa cum laude and with Highest Honors in Political Science. UPDATE: Husband David Canfield Kushner passed away on March 30, 2011, after our 28 years of marriage together; he was a good man, and we will miss him.
Year-round big skies, warm breezes, smiling faces and sunny beaches continually beckon me.
